My husband and I always knew that we would someday plan our wedding afar. We had envisioned an intimate ceremony on a breathtaking beach; that was the easy part!
When it came to selecting our destination, we had a few “must” items. It must be easy to travel to, especially from the Midwest (since that is where the majority of guests would be coming from). It must have all-inclusive resorts. It must have gorgeous beaches. It must have a positive reputation. From there, we narrowed it down to Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
Once we got it down to two destinations, we really began dissecting their all-inclusive resorts. We instantly fell in love with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It met all of our resort musts. It must have many restaurants & bars, be kid-friendly, beach front location, a lot of pools, entertainment, a great wedding package option, beautiful rooms, a golf course (for the guys), and great reviews. I knew my husband & I would not leave the resort during our 7-night stay. We’d be very busy coordinating last-minute details and greeting wedding guests as they arrived. We needed a resort that had it all. The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino definitely had it all!
There are 12 restaurants; everything from hibachi, brick oven-style pizza, a Brazilian steakhouse, and many more. Not to mention, every pool has its own food menu. A huge bonus, room service is included. There are 6 bars and nightclubs. They have an amazing coffee shop, and a gelato shop that will make you drool. The pools are amazing, and the ocean is the craziest shades of blue.
