You could say Nikki and Trey’s lives changed in one swipe!
As two busy singles, they turned to the world of online dating to solve their relationship woes. After sorting through a lot of people who did not fit the bill, and even turning to relatives for help, Nikki and Trey finally connected! They talked constantly for months before meeting in person. Once that happened, the rest was history!
The couple shared a romantic, floral wedding in Cabo San Lucas at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos surrounded by their family and friends. Neither of them wanted a traditional wedding; just something fun that would allow them to celebrate their love. What they had in mind was a vacation with friends where they just happened to get married one night. Their big day ended up being exactly that and more!
Choosing the destination was easy. While working with their Certified Destination Wedding Specialist, Nikki and Trey fell in love with the photos of Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. When they went to visit for their ‘big day preview,’ Nikki saw the gazebo and instantly knew it was where she would marry Trey. Everything else about the resort was perfect, from the food to the attentive staff!
Nikki and Trey had fun personalizing their wedding with a beautiful, airy palette of pinks, oranges, and light blues. It was everything Nikki had been dreaming of. They also wrote their own vows and walked down the aisle to songs that meant a lot to each other.
Nikki and Trey described their destination wedding as “incredible, effortless, and amazing.” The whole trip was filled with fun by the pool, relaxing on the beach, and delicious meals shared with their guests. Out of all of the amazing moments, nothing could compare to the first time the two saw each other as Nikki walked down the aisle. She said she would’ve run to Trey if she could!
The newlyweds can’t wait to travel somewhere tropical again for their one year anniversary. They currently have their sights set on Turks & Caicos!
To couples planning their own destination wedding, Nikki and Trey recommend relaxing and trusting your wedding planning team. Don’t get too buried in the details; just make decisions and stick with them. They also recommend getting all of the planning done about four months in advance so you can enjoy the fun celebrations at home leading up to the big trip!
