Would you believe these two lovebirds first met in sixth grade? It’s true! Though their love story didn’t truly start until reconnecting through Greek Life at The University of Idaho. As a wedding photographer herself, Rosie had always loved the idea of having a destination wedding, but wasn’t confident she could pull it of. But once they started seriously considering it, she says “everything just clicked! We were so excited about the big day and knew it was the right choice.”
They chose to get married in Cabo San Lucas because it was the most convenient for them and their guests to travel to. When it came to personalizing their special day, Rosie & Ryan decided to have her brother officiate the ceremony and exchange their own vows. Additionally, they nixed some of the traditional activities from their reception so they had more time to party, dance and mingle with their loved ones.
The most fun part of their celebration, Rosie recalls, was when everyone came back to their suite for an after party. “We played music, reminisced and joked around for hours,” she says. They also hosted a fun pool party the day before the ceremony, which she says “was a blast!”
“We loved having so many days with our loved ones,” Rosie continues. “We had plenty of time at the pool, dinners, sitting on the beach, late night bonfires, going into town with everyone, etc. The wedding day was a highlight, but the whole experience was so memorable!”
Rosie & Ryan are planning on spending their one year anniversary in Europe, but hope to return to Mexico in 2023!
