The Love Story

Even though Kaitlyn and Harrison would glance at each other in the gym, it was Harrison who made the first move when he slid into Kaitlyn’s DMs on Instagram, initiating the start of their love story!

The Planning Experience

From the very beginning of their relationship, Kaitlyn and Harrison agreed that having a vacation with both their friends and family would be the perfect way to tie the knot, so when wedding planning began. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana was everything they could have ever dreamed of, from being the first place they vacationed as a couple to offering endless activities for all ages; they knew they had picked the perfect destination wedding location.

The Celebration

Their big day arrived before they knew it, and it was nothing short of magical. With their family members officiating their wedding and delivering a special speech about love, the ceremony was truly a memorable experience. Their beloved dog Tux couldn’t physically attend the wedding, but they found a heartwarming way to include him with stirrers and a cutout of his face, which guests held while they were showing off their moves on the dance floor. Before their big day, they kicked off the pre-wedding celebrations with a welcome dinner party, where they shared delicious bites and mingled with each other.

The Memories

These newlyweds will never forget the moment they saw each other for the first time while Kaitlyn was walking down the aisle. Instead of doing a first look, they decided to wait until they were surrounded by all their family and friends to share this special moment. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when they started reciting their handwritten vows. Kaitlyn recalls, “This was such a nice touch rather than reciting a typical script.” Summing up their destination wedding experience, they describe it as “fun, romantic, and different,” all thanks to their loved ones and the amazing resort staff. For their one-year anniversary, they plan on vacationing in the Bahamas to enjoy the white sandy beaches and breathtaking scenery.

Advice For Future Couples

Kaitlyn and Harrison’s advice for couples planning a magical destination wedding is to stay organized, enjoy it, and remember this day is about the two of you and nobody else.
