My name is Quentin and I'm the Marketing Manager here at DestinationWeddings.com.  I just planned my own Destination Wedding this past May, so I know the experience firsthand.  My wife and I, as well as all our guests, are still talking about the incredible time we had in the Bahamas.  Plus, if I got married at home I would have had 200+ guests, and had to have spent over $30,000.  We spent under $10,000, had our dream wedding, and used the rest for a down payment for our house.

Below are some of the most frequently asked questions I hear from couples, and some sample photos and videos from the thousands of weddings that we have planned.

What are your services?

We are a full-service Destination Wedding Planner.  We work with couples to find the perfect destination (Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii, etc), ceremony site, and resort.  We then coordinate and book all the travel arrangements for the couple and their guests.  Planning a Destination Wedding is often stressful, so our service is for those couples that want to work with someone that has planned several thousand successful weddings.

What are your fees?

The good news is that we don't have any fees.  We are a unique combination of an event planner and a travel agency.  So, we are reimbursed by our suppliers (the hotels, airlines, etc), so we don't have to charge fees to couples or their guests. 

What destinations do you work with?

We have planned thousands of weddings all over the place, but our most popular destinations are (in no particular order) Mexico, Hawaii, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, the rest of the Caribbean, Bermuda, Bahamas, and Central America (mostly Costa Rica and Belize).  Did you have a particular destination in mind?

Do you only work with some hotels?

We work with almost every hotel at popular destinations.  The only properties that we may not work with would be very, very small hotels or villas.  The reason for this is that they usually won't agree to our terms of discounted pricing, extra benefits for the wedding couple, and extra services to ensure the wedding is a success.  We only work with properties and vendors that have proven track records with us, and are willing to guarantee the service levels we require.

What do I need to do to get started?

It depends.  If you just want information you can download our free report on planning a sucessful Destination Wedding by clicking the links on this page.  This will add you to my e-mail list, and I'll e-mail you other videos and information about our most popular wedding spots.  If you are ready to have one of our specialists start actually planning your wedding, we require a $50 deposit.  We didn't have to do this when we first started, but had to since Destination Weddings have become so popular.   We get tens of thousands of couples on our website that are interested in information on Destination Weddings, which is great.  We provide general information on planning and destinations for everyone, but require a $50 deposit to start planning with one of our Destination Wedding Specialists.  Because our specialists put a ton of time and effort into ensuring every one of their weddings is a success, we want to make sure that they are only working with couples that are serious about planning their dream Destination Wedding.  The $50 is not a fee, but a deposit that is applied towards final payment.

My husband Cody and I are from Dallas, Texas. We left on a Tuesday for the time of our lives. We spent 8 days at the Aventura Spa and Palace Resort, a 5 star All-Inclusive resort in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. The weather was 90 degrees and sunny the whole vacation. We placed all 28 guests on one side of the resort and I spent everyday feeling like a princess. As for the ceremony, my father and I arrived at the gazebo in a white horse and carriage. We both walked up the red carpet to an amazing scene of blue sky, crashing waves, cotton clouds. It took about 15 minutes for the ceremony and every minute was as perfect as I dreamed. My wedding Planner, Jazmine, was right there with me.

I would recommend the marriacci band! My friends and family can't stop talking about the great music and large sombrerros :)
